How You Can Help
Project SUCCESS succeeds only because generous people volunteer their time to work with our students and families, and because generous donors make gifts that support our program. Due to the amazing outpouring of support, Project SUCCESS was able to accomplish the following in the 2009-2010 school year:
- 10,000 Saint Paul and Minneapolis middle and high school students attended monthly in-school workshops led by Project SUCCESS facilitators.
- 2,724 workshops were conducted by 9 Project SUCCESS professional facilitators in 17 Twin Cities schools, encouraging and inspiring students to imagine their futures and make conscious decisions based on their discoveries.
- 3,073 students went on 21 daytime field trips to area theaters.
- With the generous support of our theater partners, 21,026 students and family members were provided the opportunity to attend 187 evening and weekend performances at professional Twin Cities theaters.
- 30 theaters provided tickets for Project SUCCESS students and their families.
- In over 100 after-school workshops, 300 students worked one-on-one with Project SUCCESS staff making plans and decisions about their future direction after high school.
- 524 students were assisted in their college selection process by participating in 38 college tours in Minnesota, Illinois and Wisconsin, led by Project SUCCESS staff.
- 68 middle school students participated in one of two week-long adventures in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, faciliated by Project SUCCESS staff.
