Project Success Celebrates Partner Teachers & School Staff at Annual Appreciation Events

Our Staff & Teacher Appreciation Nights are an annual tradition each August to show our gratitude towards the teachers and school staff in our partner schools. We see and appreciate the work they do to support students and families and help connect them to Project Success experiences!

This year, we offered two special evenings – the first being a trip to the Guthrie Theater to see Little Shop of Horrors or English, the second being an evening out at the Minnesota Twins baseball game.

At the Guthrie Theater on August 11, participants created and captured memories at the PS photo-booth and enjoyed a reception prior to seeing a show. Theater experiences create a springboard for discussion – inviting risk-taking and possibility. Project Success continues to offer students, families, and teachers access to live theater throughout the year at no cost to them, thanks to our theater partnerships with more than 50 Twin Cities Theaters. It is special to host this appreciation night at the Guthrie Theater, our founding theater partner. We are excited for another great school year of field trips, residencies, and evening and weekend shows with them and with all our theater partners!

At the Minnesota Twins baseball game on August 23, participants enjoyed a reception with our Facilitators at Minnie and Paul’s Balcony Deck at Target Field, overlooking center field. The evening featured baseball bingo with prizes and food vouchers for a dinner meal. Thank you to the Minnesota Twins for their ongoing support of Project Success! This past spring we welcomed more than 2,000 students and their families to a Twins Game at our annual Fielding Dreams event to celebrate 20 years of partnership with the Minnesota Twins. Our partnership continues to help support all our programming with students.

These celebrations are part of our ongoing efforts to honor our partner teachers and MPS staff for their tireless work on behalf of students and families. We appreciate their partnership for our in-class Workshops and field trips, and their encouragement for students to participate in our Arts, Expeditions, and Institute programming. This is just one way we show our support and gratitude for all they do.

We are grateful for our 30 year partnership with the Minneapolis Public School District and to be in our first year of partnership with the Mankato Area Public Schools District and their middle school students and families. The support, dedication, and care provided by our partner teachers and staff allow our programs to run smoothly, enabling us to focus on connecting students to their purpose. Here’s to another fantastic school year ahead!
