Melissa grew up in beautiful North Minneapolis. Though she has lived in Minnetonka for the last 5 years, she will forever call the Northside her home. Growing up, Melissa enjoyed riding bikes, climbing trees, swimming at the Y & North Commons Park, roller-skating in the streets, X-country skiing, and fishing at Theodore Wirth Lake.
Professionally, Melissa has served in the non-profit sector, in different capacities, for about 25 years. She’s worked in special education, community outreach, career counseling, domestic violence prevention, parent advocacy, and was even a school bus driver!
Before coming to Project Success in 2024, Melissa intentionally took some time away from the workforce to reconnect and recenter herself #mindbody&spirit. She spent the time in sunny Florida, and says it was the best thing she could’ve done for herself at this point in her life!
Working alongside the dedicated folks at Project Success, serving students and their families through Workshops, Arts, Expeditions, and Institute offerings is something Melissa feels very blessed to be a part of. “I hope to make a long-lasting, positive impact on all those I encounter through this great organization!”
