Theater Experiences

Thanks to the generous donations of tickets from our 50+ theater partners, Project Success students can request up to 4 free tickets to each evening or weekend performance of their choosing, so they can attend alongside family and friends.

FAQ

Theater Experiences FAQ

There is no limit! Sometimes shows fill up and we place ticket requests on a waitlist, but we always encourage you to register so we know you are interested.

After you register, you will receive a confirmation email to the email address provided on the registration form. We will also send you two reminder emails and a reminder text message to the phone number provided. Please be sure to check your junk folder in your email. If you do not receive a confirmation or reminder email, please give us a call at 612.874.7710 so we can verify your registration.

Free transportation is provided by PS volunteer drivers in their personal vehicles. Our drivers will pick you up at your preferred location, stay for the duration of the show, and bring you home after the show. Transportation requests must be submitted at least two (2) days prior to the show so we can set up your ride.

If you set up a ride an are no longer able to attend or do not need a ride, please let us know as soon as possible. Our volunteer drivers donate their time and resources to bring students and families to the theater. The sooner you can let us know, the sooner we can inform our volunteers of the change and make plans to provide a different family with free transportation to the show.

We provide childcare at no cost to families who want to attend a theater experience. Our contractor childcare workers undergo a background check, have experience working with children, and align with the Project Success mission. Please be sure to request childcare prior to the day of the performance so we can have a childcare worker ready with any supplies necessary at the location on the day of the performance.

You can inform Project Success of any accessibility needs for yourself or anyone in your group when you fill out the registration form. Please be detailed in your request so we can accommodate you as best we can! You do not need to contact the theater directly as we will work with them to ensure your accessibility needs are met.

Seats are not assigned unless for accessibility purposes. Most of our tickets are donated to us by our theater partners. We receive the tickets at the location on the night of the event, then distribute them to Project Success students and families as you arrive at the theater. We always do our best to accommodate any seating requests. We suggest arriving early as our best seats tend to go quickly!

Please notify Project Success as soon as possible of any cancellations of tickets, transportation, or childcare. This allows us to offer tickets to other students and families and be respectful of our volunteers’ time and resources. You may simply reply to the confirmation or reminder emails or text messages, or give us a call at 612.874.7710.

Teachers and staff members from Project Success partner schools are eligible to receive up to two (2) tickets at no cost to any theater experience of their choosing, depending on ticket availability.

About Us

Where students connect to their purpose

Theater Experiences create a springboard for discussion, inviting risk-taking and possibility. Project Success students attend alongside family and friends, which can lead to more positive family and peer relationships – shown to have a positive impact on student achievement.
