Project Success’ 20th Annual Fielding Dreams with the Minnesota Twins

A family at the Fielding Dreams event.

On May 3rd, Project Success partnered with the Minnesota Twins to commemorate the 20th year of our annual Fielding Dreams event. This event has evolved into a significant community partnership, with more than 120 companies supporting it over the years. We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming generosity we receive year after year from our donors, who have helped us raise more than $1 million dollars to date! These funds have helped Project Success to work with more than 225,000 students and their families to help students connect to their purpose.

We were grateful to partner with the following sponsors this year:

This year’s Fielding Dreams event was fun and meaningful for all involved, with more than 2,500 students and their families joining us for the game thanks to the Minnesota Twins Baseball Club’s generous donation of tickets. Target Field was awash in red as almost a thousand PS students and families participated in a pregame parade around the field, followed by the students participating in the musical Annie Jr. from Anwatin middle school singing Tomorrow. Then a PS student got to throw out the first pitch! It was an exciting start to the ball game.

Meanwhile our sponsors and board members were able to enjoy the game on the Budweiser Roof Deck and a variety of activities that included live music, dinner, a photobooth, a visit from TC Bear, Twins bingo, our famous Pitch and Catch game, and fun activities for kids.  Sponsors also participated in Chalk Talk – a special pre-game event where they received an exclusive behind-the-scenes perspective from Twins legend, Dick Bremer.  Dick was the “Voice of the Twins” for over 40 years and recently retired from broadcasting. During Chalk Talk, Dick discussed his many years working with the Twins, from the excitement of two World Series wins, to meeting Elton John at a Cubs game.

Students, families, community members and sponsors got to enjoy an gripping Twins game against the Boston Red Sox on a beautiful spring Friday night. They also saw PS students lead the 7th inning stretch, and the Twins get their 11th straight win over the Red Sox. We are so thankful for all those who made this evening possible, with a special thanks to our sponsors.
