Themes
- In this film, Joan of Arc faces extreme consequences for speaking her truth. She has an opportunity to lie, in order to protect herself, but ultimately decides to remain true to what she believes. At points in our own lives, it might be scary, difficult, or even dangerous to speak one’s truth. When might we feel pressure to ignore our own truths or beliefs?
